get further back and zoom in to blur the background more. also don;t put subjects dead center. shutter speed needs to be high or you get blur from you moving or the subject moving

Ive been through your tutorial on many occasions, tried changing all the fso and waht not on the camera but it seems everything goes blurry, cant get any closer than 1 meter to a subject. I like those pics you got with the foreground as a center subject and the background blurred so it centers the attention but I cant seem to do anything on my crappy camera.

there is no reason why you should not get goodpics so long as you don;t just point and click. think about the shot, the way the light is soming in, the shutter speed do you need flash, will you need to stop down the flash. then you'll need to do a bit of work in photoshop

I dont mind about having a fat screen on the back with movie recorder and what not, just want the best quality pics i can. Can anyone give me an example of what quality I should expect for that sort of money?
