1/buy a digital SLR
2/ buy Basic Photography by michael langford
3/ buy The photoshop CS2 book for digital photographers by scott kelby
4/ go of and take picstures
5/ join various websites for photographers to post pictures and get advice
6/ have fun.

Your best bet is to go talk to the staff delivering and see what they're going to cover. The part time stuff in the college I work at is fairly elementary, to get more advanced techniques you need to commit full time.

Part time stuff costs money but most colleges will have a fund for fee discounts which you apply for before you enrol.

depends I know all I know from reading online, talking to people and practicing. I don't think a course would help me for my work. if it was free I would do it but they cost :(

i did Desgin at college and this included photography , wasnt that great though.
