8mb?! i didnt know that was avaiable in the Uk w/o leased line. We are thinking of upgrading to 1mb soon, had 512 for 3 years and its starting to feel a bit slow!

Id go with Nildram as they're really good at the moment , turn around speed is very good as well.

dont buy there router though its pants get this Netgear router it has a 4 port hub built in and is easy to use

and its also very cheap.

but if you have lots of money go to Easynet and buy there 8Meg Surestream line. You will be download king

www.getadsl.co.uk (nildram site) They have up to 2mbps home packages too, if i wasnt already with BT i would move to them, but it means 2 weeks with no broadband in between and i dont think i could cope!

Don't go with Tiscali, I've had a few people say they're an absolute nightmare......for both low speeds and technical support (or lack thereof).

If you want my honest opinion, there's only two to consider: Nildram or Zen (I'm not leaning more towards the 2nd, due to Nildram messing around with their pricing......oh, and there's the fact I know both the 1st-Line & 2nd-Line team leaders on the Tech Support team :D )

Now that i have finally moved in to my flat i am ready to get broadband was just wondering which isps people advise? I know there are loads of deals goin at the mo, free modem connection etc, was just wondering if any are better than others?

At the mo i am thinking either Btyahoo, Tiscali, pipex or bt do a deal for sky customers(which i am!) where you get free connection etc but you dont get any webspace or email addys.

was wondering is it really worth getting webspace and email addresses as you can get these anyway, also some offer virus protection and firewall etc but again is it worth it?

Any advice much appreciated cos i am not sure at the mo!!!
Cheers
