I think it is the battery on your motherboard that has gone.
It is not to had to replace as it is a standard watch battery.
As when the battery is goin flat it cant keep the time as well.
Do your Bios settings keep reseting?

If it keeps happening after a rebuild sounds like it's a hardware fault, possibly motherboard, processor or even maybe the hard disk??

computers aint perfect, they are made like this

why would microsoft make a perfect OS, because then nobody would continue to buy their new stuff

just have to live with it and accept the fact that it will get like this occasionally. i reformat about every 6 months

this only solves it temporarily as it has happened before

Over the past few days now i have noticed that my computer freezes for about a second every now and again and its starting to become more regular and is adding up. Whenever i started up my computer this afternoon the clock was correct but now it shows 1.31 rather than the correct time of 1.53 therefore it has stopped for 21 minutes over the course of the day.

anyone know whats going on?
