the file may be compressed already like a video file or maybe a CDimage, as far as I know compressing a compressed file wont do much difference :(

i have a file thats 758mb that i need to write to a cd but the cd is only 700mb. i have zipped the file up using winrar but its 712mb which is still to big. i tried zipping the .rar file up in winzip but it stayed 712mb.

how can i get the file under 700mb?

does it matter what type of file it is?

cheers for any help
