Rob, are you ok rooting around the registry? If so, try one/several of these...

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer,SearchURL= www.blah.com
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar= www.blah.com
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page= www.blah.com
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant= www.blah.com
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch= www.blah.com
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer,SearchURL= www.blah.com
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page= www.blah.com
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar= www.blah.com
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page= www.blah.com
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch= www.blah.com
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant= www.blah.com

Obviously substitute blah.com where necessary...

Searched it, but nothing found. Tried deleting a few "search" files under IE, but still not solved it. Its really pissing me off now

will be in the registry files somewhere... open regedit and search for the web address it takes you to and then change it back to the MSN one

A while back the default search engine (the one that pops up when you type a web address incorrectly) decided to set itself to a really shit one. Cant find a way to change it back to msn or whatever. Also related, the Search tool bar in IE just brings up a new window with this shit search engine in, and if you click customise, it brings another window with the same page on it :|.

Anyone know how I can get rid of it? :look:
