the £3.5k is just for the screen, and they said they wanted 42". I suggested something smaller and a projector for watching movies, but they really want a 42" plasma. I bought some stuff from richer sounds before, ill check it out again! cheers, Matt

i work in an electrical store for christmas time,

that kind of budget you can go a few ways

i would choose a 32" toshiba flat screen 100hz tele,
panasonic dvdram recordable dvd player,
a sony top of the range av system amp and a mission surround sound package frobably the fs2 av as they sound brilliant then gte some ixos cabling to run it all, like £50 a lead

that would be
t.v - £1500
dvd - £500
amp - £500
sound - £400
cablin - £300

total - £3500 ish
but you could uprate the tele to a plasma but remember the limited lifetime, and you loose picture quality after 32"

I've got a 42" Samsung Plasma screen on my wall :D:D
That was £3000 from Currys. Got it in Feb so they'll prob still be the same price.
Thats a budget plasma. Sony do a MINT screen and the 32" was around £4500. I think the tuner box was separate with that tho.
Mine came with the tuner box all in.
Got a table top stand with it but I wanted mine on the wall. The bracket cost an extra £350:(

Looks well sweet tho ;)

Ive been asked to chose a home cinema system for some friends of the family, they have a total budget of around £5k. I know which speakers, amp and DVD player i want to chose, but can anyone reccommend a plasma monitor for about £3,500. Ive never really looked into plasmas cos its a bit beyond my budget!
