this system is only gonna go in ma gfs room so doesnt have to be powerful as its not gonna go in the living room! u think its a good system thou?

well its not very powerful, and is too cheap for a system to be any good imo.

er yes it do cos DVD has 2 seperate streams, audio stream and video stream.

Audio streams are encoded at different bitrates, like the dvd im playing now is 720kbps

but is that only on dvd audio???? and doesnt apply on movies

dont think it supports higher bitrates or could be lower

looking for a hi fi and have currently found a panasonic home cinema one which looks good, but its says:

"DVD-Audio (not full bandwidth),"

Wtf does this mean?
