It's because digital video is actually 'overlayed' onto the screen in most modern video cards. Windows itself only sees the surround, so it can't take a screenshot...

Same reason why if you drag and drop a video while it's playing the video doesn't move and keeps playing until you release the mouse button...

2) if above instructions fail to work take large hammer and start to hit computer.

i get that too, with all media player versions. annoying when i want a screenshot of my current porn

i have no trouble taking the screenshot....the mediaplayer surround is there, its just the video that disappears when you haven't got that shot on pause in mediaplayer, actually running ??? i don't understand :boggle::boggle:

print screen and open word or summit and press Ctrl + P then it should be there!

....take a screenshot from media player 9 cos when i press 'print screen' and then save it, the video dissapears and only comes back if i open mediaplayer again ????? What can i do 2 get a screenshot of the video i want and save it ???
