Optronix do a USB network cable for about £30, I wouldn't describe it as fast though.
It'll move 100Mb in about 3 minutes.

mini USB dongles, but most are more expensive than a cd burner! they are fuckin handy tho.

you can get a usb network adapter for the laptop for a tenner, i got mine from ebuyer.

Think u can do a direct cable connection with a USB cable, but it's a special usb cable I believe .

You got a parallel cable? That's quite easy to set up as direct connection, but still slow

for the price ud pay for a small usb networking setup might aswell buy a cd writer that attaches via the usb, if u wanna sit for ages could do a parralel port connectoin cables are about a tenner but not that quick im afraid
