Download Recuva, free and works reasonably well

Was out on the bike today and when I got back home I was thrilled to see my Garmin touring had decided to delete all the rides saved on it. It must have been while it was rattling about it a cubby hole in the pickup.

So is there a way to recover the data? So far I have managed to get a .BAK file using some free download but I can't convert it to a .gpx or a .fit file.

I am old and shit on a pooter but I would very much like to save the info if possible..

Help?
