Essentially yes, or you could buy a cheap external HDD and format it and copy everything onto that/copy all the movies to your laptop and format the hdd then copy back.

So now I just need to find a memory stick haha. If that works, will I need to reformat my hard drive and start over again with the films?

Reformat a pen drive to FAT, stick the mkv on it, try then

Had a go at this before work today, ended up using Handbrake because I couldn't get the MP42MKVac3 to open? I downloaded it, but couldn't actually find the program to open up?

Ok, cheers guys, I'll give it a go tomorrow morning when I'm not at work! I'm guessing they both support Mac?

Make sure you're the external drive has been formatted using a support file system - most likely FAT/exFAT etc.

I've got a portable external hard drive with some films and tv series on which I've been having to watch through my MacBook, as my old Blu-ray player didn't have a USB socket. I went out and bought a Sony BDP-S4500 which claims to have USB play back, and lists the file type of all my films, but it isn't showing any of the files when browsing on my Blu-ray player? Does anyone have any advice or had the same problem before and managed to sort it? |
