quote: Think he has that but I'll check it out. He seems to be managing fine with Live Mail. Although with one of the accounts you can't delete emails :facepalm:

365 costs less than a 123-reg pop3 account these days. You will however be locked into a 12 month contract.

Put that domain onto office365 and have a proper exchange account that will sync up nicely on all computers and phones for £35 a year or whatever it is.

Unbelievable businesses however small still use hotmail addresses when a more professional looking setup is peanuts.

Tried everything suggested other than another 2010 machine.

I would never use a hotmail account for Business use. Who do you call when you need to restore an e-mail or if you need to track if an e-mail has come in or gone out.

Do you have another device with 2010 (or another client for that matter) to replicate and test with?

Dad has two Hotmail accounts, one for his business and one for personal. He is trying to run both in Outlook 2010. It should have been running fine for sometime, but it keeps throwing up an error that it can't authenticate the accounts (I know the details are correct as I've logged in using a web browser). |
