Yeah just checked.. it does but it only appears that you can record a) what you are currently watching and b) when the TV is on.. which seems pretty useless! :D

Yeah, plug a portable hard drive into it and it does it all

Your TV records?

Just bought the Pure Avalon.. All of the reviews were great other than the retards who bought one and don't own a TV with HDMI sockets <face palm>.

Does your TV do it? My LG does

The UI on my Humax Foxsat is pretty poor. Is a 4/5 year old box now, but pretty slow to do anything.

The recording and picture quality is spot on though.

Humax HDR200T? Dual-tuner and generally a solid unit. Otherwise Panasonic do a few that aren't too bad, although i prefer the UI on Humax boxes.

Might be worth looking Pure's PVR Freeview box as well; yet to try it, or even look at it, but it gets good reviews.

Can anyone recommend a good one?

We don't watch any of the premium channels on our Virgin Media box and its always crashing so I want to fuck Virgin off.

I'm looking for a decent Freeview recorder box with multiple tuners (don't want Freesat as it means putting a dish up).

Cheers guys :D
