You do know that project cars is also on the pc Chris? It's a million times better than drive club in terms of realism, for me graphics ain't everything but there still damn good. Thrust master will make such a difference Steve. Plug it in after the game starts it does a calibration then when press x menu come suppress it on the wheel and not controller also press bottom centre button so red light flashes this is the self centering option

Compared to drive club. It's more like need for speed.

did you never play GT5/6?

that was more sim-ified compared to forza 4/5 imo, but really you need to venture into PC territory to really experience a good sim.

Not sure what that guy is trying to prove, a car wont spin if you just try and understeer everywhere, if you start braking or shitfting the weight around the cars spin very easily.

One of the better main stream games iv played that goes someway to depicting lift off oversteer to any degree of accuracy.

Yes a million times better, like a different game with the controller. Can actually hold a decent line through the apex now

Found this on Reddit. Steve, try it out and report back pls.

quote:

Firstly I want to state that I did not create these settings all that credit needs to go to "Miths" from the gtplanet forums.
As I am sure most of you trying the game out today on the ds4 have found it is an unpleasant drive out of the box. These setting changed everything for me.
Make these changes to controller input mode 3
Steering deadzone = 10
Steering sensitivity = 0
Throttle deadzone = 10
Throttle sensitivity = 20
Brake deadzone = 10
Brake sensitivity = 20
Speed sensitivity = 65
Control filtering sensitivity = 50
Advanced settings = off

My take,

Very realistic, probs most realistic iv played out of the main stream titles anyway.

I've not touched the settings, but I have found that a controller isnt accurate enough really for this game. Therefore I ordered a wheel, that thrustmaster t100, will let you know how i get on when that arrives.

Night time, and weather make this excellent, and the in helmet view adds quite a bit over the other titles. Lots of other fun things such as go karts too add variety

Would love some comparisons to Driveclub as well, from people who've played both.

DC certainly has the better visuals and looks to have a better selection of road cars.

Worth getting for console?

Wheel a requirement or is it ok to play with a controller?

Easy to get into? All the settings do seem a bit daunting.

How does it compare to other racers like Forza or the GT series?
