Apple sarcasm aside, it's been their Office strategy since 2013.
As with 0365, I think "leasing" the OS will be a logical next step for them.

Seems like a pretty unique idea.
They could call it Windows X.
To distinguish each major update, they could name them in addition to the version numbers.
Maybe fish names? Or cats? WinX Bobcat or WinX Lynx, perhaps?
Probably silly, but would certainly be unique.

Opinions?
Windows 10 will be the last OS from Microsoft. Instead they'll just release updates to 10, seemingly forever, though I'm not sure how that will work.
