You'll be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for free soon though

I have an ipad air and a Samsung galaxy tab.

The ipad is brilliant and so responsive compared to the Samsung.

Why not get a Asus ME400C? They are cheap as chips and run full-blown windows 8 so you can do pretty much what the hell you like with it?

If it's purely for work (doing job sheets) and you're going to use it "out in the elements" then either use something that's cheap to replace when you break it (Hudl etc) or a rugged/hardened device (MTT, TouchPad, Sumo, Getac etc) that's designed for the job.

Personally an iPad seems like an half-arsed and expensive solution to the problem. Although if you do decide to go with one then make sure you get a decent case like an Otterbox (around £60).

Yes, as long as it has internet through wifi or tethered to your phone.

That seems good. I was looking at going through EE as they are doing the 64gig air 2 for £100 then £35 a month . Might just get the normal one a as I always have my phone on and almost everywhere has wifi where I work around.

Rob in not recommending Windows tablet shocker! :!

Benefits of running an all Apple setup include:

iMessage+SMS+phone calls on all devices.
Love replying to a text directly from the device I'm using without picking up my phone.

Syning of photos through iCloud.

Syncing of Safari tabs (can do the same with Chrome though).

AirDrop for quick file transfer between devices.

Buy once get twice for most apps and games. Can set it up so each devices automatically installs new purchases made on other devices.

Syncing of documents in iWorks.

Start/stop internet tethering on your phone without removing it from your pocket.
Seems like such a small feature, but as someone who uses internet tethering regularly, I love that I don't have to leave it turned on to access it quickly.

If you're only using it for documents, 16Gb is plenty.

As above, I need a tablet to do away with my paper job sheets. I want one that I can use my phone internet. I can't get my head around how expensive they are with so little memory. My phone is 16gig and that's already full so I would imagine I would need a bigger one. Is there any benefit of having apple? My PC is now a mac , is it easier to transfer stuff over? What's the difference between air and air2 ? Do any do a splash proof one like phones?

Thanks
