Thanks for the info guys.

I've found if I save the clips from the gopro to desktop I can then load them into WMM. But it plays very jerky.

I couldn't get the clips to load into the gopro software at all lol!

I took the clips in 720 @ 60fps would 1080 @ 30fps be better? My lidl cam is set a 720 @ 30fps but the gopro doesn't have that setting. I only use them to upload to YouTube so I'm not that arsed about HD etc.

I'll have a look at that wevideo when in next off (back in work tomorrow)

Again thanks for the help.

if your pc is shit slow, try using an online editor like https://www.wevideo.com/

All the processing is done on their servers so you don't need a powerful computer. worth a try at least.

problem is with the PC spec not the gopro mate.
Your cheap lidl camera will be likely recording in inferior quality / FPS and hence why it'll play.

Windows Vista is also a bag of shite which wont be helping the situation.

Just to double check, you've copied the gopro video file to your desktop (or somewhere local on the hard drive) and dragged that into windows movie maker / gopro studio and it doesn't play?
If you drop it into WMM it'll take quite a bit of time to process, where as gopro studio is near on instant.

Im an adobe premiere man myself, but have used both the above programs.
WMM is a good program to start off with if your not so savvy.

BTW, what specs are you recording at? If you have a poor spec PC (which im guessing as it has Vista on it), you want to stay away from 60fps.

Last ditch attempt before my new gopro hero £99 heap of shit gets smashed to fuck or sent back.

I'm old, I have no tech skills whatsoever. I bought a cheap ass gopro hero and can't get the fecker to work on my old vista powered PC, my Lidl action cam works no bother with window movie maker. But my jumped up gopro wont even let the videos be loaded up. So I downloaded the gopro studio. Doesn't download with windows explorer but did with chrome.

Tried it and it just froze

Any help? Any ideas? Sick to death to tech...
