I'm have a problem with the DVD drive, in my Media server (desktop). I've imported a CD to my media server using FreeRIP MP3 Converter and all worked fine. Detected the CD and all the track tags. After the import, it said it couldnt detect the CD/DVD Drive make and model. No matter what i do this software wont detect the CD/DVD drive. If i uninstall then reinstall it detects it again and i can import another CD then the same thing again.

So i tried another software, this time Audio CD Ripper. Same again. Import 1 CD then it wont detect the CD drive.

If i put a DVD in and try to import that using Handbrake, it detects the DVD and works ok.

Wtf is going on? Ive tried restarting the machine, disabling and re enabling the CD/DVD drive in device manager. Ive checked the driver is upto date. I even tried changing the drive letter. None of these have made any difference.
