What does it do that can't already be done on an iPhone?

The amount of people on FB and Twitter posting their BBM Pin has been fucking enfuriating.

Eventually got the email to allow me to progress.

Couldn't sync my Blackberry profile as the page for our Blackberry ID has also been removed/hidden by my employer. Balls.

Deleted it now seeing as I can't use it for work. Most of my friends use iMessage or Whatsapp, so don't see the point in keeping BBM now.

If this fails use a really generic emails address and hope someone signed up using it. I typed in paul@gmail.com and frank@gmail.com on my brothers

I've misunderstood, you might be able to do that then, not sure how those policies would work. RIM are on a shaky enough foot as it is though so anything that might compromise security (which being able to take pictures on your phone then send to other corporate people would) wouldn't go down well.

I'll see how it goes once I get the app running.

Our Blackberry profiles are capable of receiving images as we can see them on the Phones (we get them via email occasionally from the office/customers/colleagues who have sent them from their laptop) it literally is just the Camera function (& MMS as a result) being disabled on the handsets themselves.

I don't want work emails to my iPhone. I just want my BBM Profile to be synced.

We have all of the Field Engineers using it in groups for the various departments where we have technical discussion etc, as well as chat. Our Blackberry phones are locked down due to US Owner Policy so we are unable to utilise the Camera function for sending images etc to colleagues for their input when we are experiencing problems in the field, so having this on a personal phone would be handy.

Anyway, waiting for an email to be able to use the bloody App, so can't find out just yet.

So I won't be able to use my PIN from the Blackberry to receive everything on my iPhone as well (like iMessage when using a number & email address to work it on both an iPhone & iPad)?

BBM won't be attached to your work BES account.

Downloading now.

Hopefully I can sync my Blackberry profile from my work phone to it somehow...

Too little too late. Should have been done years ago. Even then it would have struggled.
