My rudimentary calculations say about 8kohm for a 5ish watt load at 230v? | |

I need to simulate a 5-20w load on a 230v circuit, resisters I can find that will do 5w have a limiting voltage of 120v so that rules them out. The solution needs to be less than £5 per unit. It needs to be small, fitting in a 100mm x 100mm by 50mm box. I don't want it to generate much heat so that rules out a larger power resister. |
