It's fixed now, all I had to do (instead of re-installing windows) was remove the mobo battery and reset the BIOS... I thought i'd tried that already, but obviously not...

I've used the above before and just deleted all devices and started again.

Tried updating the usb drivers in device manager, but I'll give the mobo drivers a go too

Tried going the motherboard website and downloading up to date drivers? If its an off the shelf PC use cpuz to identify mobo manufacturer

Ok, my USB devices dont seem to be detecting anymore.

I'm running Vista (still) and all was fine till I got home a few evenings a go and the mouse didn't work, had a ps/2 adaptor so plugged it in that and it was fine, but just come to print something and the printer isn't detecting. Also seem to of lost the USB Hdd as well.

There's no problems in device manager, unistalled the USB drivers, and rebooted with no luck. Disabled them in BIOS, restarted then re-enabled them again, no luck.

The ports still charge as my phone and iPod charged in them, but not detecting any devices, any ideas?

Next step it to install windows7 to see if that fixes it, but needed to print something immediately so didn't want to do that just yet!
