I plug mine into the VGA port, and wire my laptop upto the stereo | |

Only trouble with the VGA port is you'll be playing sound out of the notoriously shite laptop speakers. | |

If you can't connect your laptop to your telly then a media player/streamer is what you're after. Look at something like the WD Live which is reasonably priced. | |

I've got a few movies on my laptop and want to watch them on my tv, however I can't connect the laptop to the tv as it doesn't have the correct connections. |
