Android offers about 10% more customisation than iOS without root (equivilent of jailbreak) so this whole 'android is WAY more customisable' thing is massively overstated.

i mean, ios is slagged for being restrictive etc, but if an app comes out it works. theres that many versions of androids and devices even if an app does come out it may not work on your software version and even if it does it might not work on your combination of hardware and software. things like this seem to be overlooked by android fanboys because they can have widgets and moving wallpapers

I found the cause, supersu had been installed from a previous device, uninstalled this and it worked, was my fault.

I think Lee was referring to John's post about it not working on his un-rooted Nexus 4.

quote: So having a rooted Android device that prevents Sky Go functioning, 'fucks android'; yet having a jailbroken iOS device that also stops Sky Go functioning is fine? Stop talking shite Lee  As mentioned, like iOS there are workarounds to get Sky Go working on rooted devices. [Edited on 17-12-2012 by Dom]

There's something you can run to make it look not rooted, I really can't remember what it's called at the moment.
