Reinstall a fresh copy of XP then upgrade to W8. | |

Given the opportunity, I'd do a format over an upgrade. The registry does get a little messy over time as do a few other things. | |

yeah if youre not sure what drive is what take it out so you dont format the wrong thing. | |

I usually unplug all unnecessary drives, just to make sure i don't format the wrong one during install :lol: | |

I have a 2nd HDD installed via SATA where I store all my photos etc. Should I unplug this before I upgrade or just leave it plugged in? |
