Take a look on HUKD, there is a currys refurb deal on there for a i3 6gb ddr3 500gb hd for 259. I got one last year, come pretty much brand new, 12 month warranty free. My girlfriend has just got a slightly lower spec for 229.

quote: Yeah they are all fully boxed, basically factory refurbished laptops from Toshiba themselves so it's a bit like buying a refub Apple product - not really any difference between that and the new item as they replace anything that's defective or missing.

I could send you a CD containing office if needed, don't think you'll get a laptop, OS, Office for £300.

quote: If purchasing from eBay then find out who the company is selling the item and warranty info (who's it with, what does it cover etc etc). Tbf unless i was after something specific or secondhand/B-Stock, eBay would be the last resort. Kerry - Sainsbury's don't carry a huge Dell range but they do a few ok models. And if you see something you like do a quick Google for reviews before purchasing.

Have a look at something like an Acer 5749 or a Dell Q15R. If going for a Dell then it's worth seeing if you know anyone that works for Tesco/ASDA/Sainsbury's as you can use the staff discount (usually 10%) and ClubCard etc.
