Yup Manual syncing - all good. Give people the option - All photos or on selection.

I don't want to tell it what to do, I like it just doing it all automatically without any input from me like it does now.

OK How about turning on Photosync enables all photos and if you want to do manual control there is another toggle.

You would have it working exactly like it is now but those who didn't want all the photos could also be catered for.

Be good if it gave you the option on each photo if you want it to stream though! Not all photos on my phone I'd want on my iPad....

you can go into the photo stream folder and edit the photos that you want in there.

this way you can still take those pictures and they won't appear on the iPad when your kids are playing with it  :0

Thhe whole album syncing is a nightmare. The fact you can't sync BACK from the phone is a nightmare. You are away on holiday, you create an album with a load of photos you've taken and then....stuck.

Would be like doing a manual sync then though.

A better thing to sort would be when you make an album that instead of leaving the photos in the camera roll that it actually moves them to the album you created. That does my head in how it is at the moment!

You can't get photos taken before you turned photostream on to sync.

I like photostream, so simple and automatic. No pissing about syncing through iTunes or manually moving photos around. Just a shame you can't get it to put older photos in to the photostream.

Its a shame you can't airdrop between them.

Photostream is just a heavyweight solution for a simply task. There are also many people who don't want all their photos being uploaded where as airdrop is a local transfer.

Ok I've got it so it automatically uploads the photos I've just taken to iCloud and they come up on the iPad now. What about photos I took before I turned iCloud on?

Nismo

Photostream does this wirelessly through iCloud if you have it turned on

Are there any apps that allow you to do this so you can transfer photos? I've read that there is a way but it's very slow. Is it worth bothering with or should I buy the camera connection kit and just use a cable?
