Works fine on my 4S with O2.

Try changing the password / hard reset the phone

tried it. my laptop actually does connect but doesnt have internet access, an ipad doesnt connect at all

If the Internet works OK on your iPhone then it should work fine with whatever devices are connected to it.

From what I remember I actually had this problem when I first got my iPhone (iOS 4.x though).

Turning it off and then back on again seemed to fix it for some reason. :o

ive got the option to turn it on, when i do i can connect my laptop to it but dont get internet and ifi try to connect with an ipad it says it cant connect at all.
ive asked people in apple and in vodafone, guys in apple didnt have a clue and all the guys in vodafone did was try and sell me an ipad on a 24 month data tarriff...

i thought the option only showed up in the menu if your network allowed it on your tarriff, but do i need to add something else? like i say ive been in the vodafone shop and they couldnt help me
