You mean the developers? IW and Treyarch have been the main developers all along, the franchise is still owned by Activision. Although there are smaller developers working on it. They have just capatilised on the new audience (consoles) and you can't blame them really.

thats because danny, they are no longer the people who used to make it

I very much doubt there will be a map a month, they'll want to drag the maps out as long as possible so people don't get bored too quickly and they don't run out of good content.

Charging you for elite as well is a joke. They have completely moved away from the franchise they used to be, now they just want as much money as they can.

If that is true that is just straight up robbery

Thats what both game and game station said as the dlc will be 1 map & other stuff? Probs just been told a load of shite but can see them milking it for that much.
And even if alot of kids do play it just 2 packs at a tenner each will be more than the previous packs at 15 quid.

And on top of the maps its £35 a year for elite subscription which has been confirmed.

i dont think it will be £10 per map, bearing in mind alot of young kids play it so they are not going to be getting them maps

Absolute profiteering imo - they are just milking the franchise for every penny they can - i take it this 'hardened' crap is the so called 'elite' subscription on the PS store in another form.
why when you have paid for the game should you have to pay the same amount again so you can get special status and level up quicker? ok the free map pack downloads softens the blow, But COD map packs are massively overpriced i mean £12 for 4? maps often with a couple that are crap? really? is that value for money - the COD franchise is definately no longer about the gamer, but about filling pockets with kids pocket money

I'll be sticking to battlefield thanks

BarnshaW

chris_uk

but wont you have to pay for the map packs on the hardened edition aswell?

BarnshaW

posted on 21st Oct 11 at 15:57

thing is the normal game is 50 odd quid so by the time you have got 2 or 3 map packs over the year the hardened edition has paid for itself?

chris_uk
