To anybody reading who is in the market for a new PC - use Sam!

Re. Office - the copy I have doesn't, and a quick read on Wiki seemed to suggest that it does away with both FP and Expression and now has a totally different standalone system called Sharepoint? :boggle:

Glad to hear all is well with it.

Does Expression Web not come with Office 2010 then?

Have got an older copy of Expression that I was using on my old PC and got on pretty well with that - will probably install that for now then. Cheers Sam! :)

Yep new PC is spot on cheers, finally at the point where near enough everything is transferred across so now able to use it properly. Certainly makes my old one feel VERY antiquated

Dreamweaver or Expression Web is going to be your best bet TBH.

BTW - how are you getting on with your new PC?

I haven't yet as I've literally only just finished migrating to the new machine and installed Office 2010 tonight. I think that may be what I do for now and try and teach myself Dreamweaver over the coming months.

I have very basic HTML knowledge so tend to use the split screen on FP so I can see what everything does whilst either manually inserting code or doing it the lazy way

Out of interest what would you suggest? I don't intend to start making websites - I just need to know enough to carry on maintaining mine - I don't want to switch to Wordpress etc.

FrontPage has been replaced by Expression Web:

You tried installing Frontpage alongside Office 2010? If that didn't work and you desperately wanted Frontpage you could go down the Virtual Machine route.
Although personally i'd recommend that you either learn something else or move away from WYSIWYG editors entirely.

Edit - Thought about moving to Wordpress or similar?

I'm buggered now I've switched to my new PC and installed Office 2010 :(

Up until now I'd been building my site in Frontpage or Expression, I wasn't aware that neither of these were made anymore! I've tried Dreamweaver in the past and just felt well out of my depth. I know Frontpage and Expression aren't great programmes, but I've always got on ok with them.

Is it possible to run one of these along side Office 2010, or am I best installing something else and learning the ropes?

Cheers!
