Thats what I want to do.

Just new to XP so wasnt sure.

Wish I was earning. Well I suppose I am.

I must be the best paid person in my current line of work lol.

Anyone else sell ice cream for £5.09 an hour?... didnt think so.

Oh, whats that?.....theres a few bank holidays coming up? Nice, that'll be £10.18 an hour for me then. lol

Just do it over easter and summer.
Its a lil' shop at a country park that sells ice cream, sandwitches, drinks etc.

I'm I ranting? I'll stop now. I do this when i'm tired.

I'll hopefully be browsing corsasport from my computer instead of this shed. I'm using a PII 333, at the mo lol.

Mines nothing special but I like it. 1.4Ghz Athlon, 256ddr etc.

Anyway, computers have been pissing me off a lot lately. Not the best thing when you've almost finished your 2nd year of a Computing Technology degree lol.

Cheers for your help, i'll sort it the moro.

Yeah it should auto run as long as your boot sequence is set up to read from the CD, then when XP installation starts choose a new fresh install and format the partitions in NTFS.

so just format the partition as FAT32 and then boot from the xp cd? Does it auto run?

THen it just converts it to NTFS when it gets to that point of the installation.

Cheers,

Pete

Just boot into DOS, get into FDISK, sort out the partions, go back into DOS and format the partitions, then chuck the XP disk in the drive, get it to format the partitions again but in NTFS and away you go.

I have come to the decision that all computers hate me and I have grown to hate them.

Mine (not this one) hasnt been co-operating lately.

Got a corrupt cd-rw driver so uninstalled it and re-installed but it corrupted straight away.

re-installed windows xp, wont detect cd rw.

When you choose clean install it doesnt actually do a clean install.

What I ask is how do you do a complete clean install of xp?

How can I format my partition? can you make an xp startup disk and do it that way like in 98?

I'm tired and stressed and cant think.
