It's just what it could be running behind it, you think you're installing a nice fluffy dock bar but behind it could be gathering information about how you use your PC and sending it out to the companies servers. | |

Don't know of a way to complete remove it, although you can auto-hide the taskbar but this will hide the 'start' button and taskbar/status bar etc. | |
