I asked 3 how much they'd charge to give me the unlock code, they said £15.

These places have "boxes" they use for unlocking phones, not just software with a USB cable only so I guess these "boxes" must generate an unlock code of some sort?

I was researching this online, some websites show you how to do it but some people said it fucked up their phones and wouldn't even let them use their old SIM

We've got a Samsung U900 mobile which I think will be locked (to 3, that's who issued the phone anyway), we need it to work with an Orange SIM card. |
