its a good deal yeah, but education dicounts even better. you could do what barnes did and buy from an airport and get the VAT off

If you know someone in education you should be able to use the education store.

As Ant says - The refurbs are also often very good value as you still get a full years warranty and it will be as new when you get it. If the case etc was scuffed it would be replaced.

Also worth a search on HotUKDeals.com for iMacs. QuidCo is often quite good. If you can find a retailer that does a 10% off voucher you can make quite a big saving.

'Generally Apple products are not discounted so to get some discount is good (that said I might have scored a stonker discount on an iPad)
