See this is how out of touch I am! Looking on avforums all I can see is people asking for suggestions for a 2k+ system. I figured that was just how much these things cost. The cheaper the better for me really! I just need to know that it will be ok with the 3d stuff which is what I'm aiming for.

I'm not very up-to-date either but that's a good budget, you'll get something that supports all the blu-ray HD audio for that.

For that budget you'd be getting something very smart. Jealous much :(

Over the next few months I plan to upgrade all my home cinema stuff but I'm really out of touch with current technology! I will eventually be getting a 3d tv and 3d/bluray player but for now I would like a new AV Receiver and speakers. Do you have to have a certain type of receiver to work with a 3d setup or will they all work? I don't fancy having to change my receiver again after buying a new tv in a few months.

Also, can anyone recommend a decent receiver and speaker combo with a price limit of around 1.5k?

I would ask on avforums but I've forgotten my login details!
Thanks for any help you can give me!
