the copper mesh shit was touching the main core in my first attempt.

Then I tidied it up and the signal cleared.

Yeah I guess I had better check that  be embarrassing if it turns out to be that

have you checked the cables?

I did a bad job of putting the connector on my aerial cable last night and signal was awful.

I re-did it and now it's perfect.

Cheers the individual booster sounds more like what I'm after trying.

Seems silly that they have a couple of crappy small Goodmans flat screens, one in the kitchen, one in the bedroom again connected to the same aerial and there signal is fine

Does the booster have to go in attic/near the aerial? Can you get anything that just plugs in to the aerial socket by the TV

I've got a big aerial in the attic, then I plug that direct into the booster which is a 6 TV distributor so then I have a cable out of each socket running down to each room

EDIT: You can get individual boosters tho that just plug into power near your TV. Take a look at Argos, they're cheap.

Same as that - our original Viera was shit back in the day till we got everything revised.

Having said that my new LG 37" TV at the misses works of a cheap £5 indoor aerial from Tesco.

I blame Facebook.

I'm assuming it's a proper actual aerial, i.e loft/roof installed aerial? And as Sam says, the Samsung one may have an aerial/firmware issue.

Do these modern TV's buffer signal playback?

Could try a booster, not that I rate them that much but if the signal is just a little weak it might work :)

I might be stating the obvious, but maybe the tuner on the Sony is better than the one on the Samsung? Or the Samsung might need a firmware update to fix said issue?

Got 2 newish TVs at my Uncle & Aunties. One is a Sony 37" in the snug, the other is a Samsung 40" in the lounge. So both in different rooms but they are running off the same aerial.

The Samsung sometimes struggles to pick up ITV & C4 and if it does it only lasts for a minute or 2 before the picture starts pixelating & breaking up. The Sony picks the signal up no problem. The Sony used to be in the lounge where the Samsung now is & it was fine in there too.

Any ideas what's wrong?
