Playing with one in a shop and owning one are different things.

Samsung is massive and plasticy, Desire would be my choice out of the 2.

See I'm not sure about the Samsung, as I had a Samsung Tocco and had problems with it, have they improved?

Go for a Galaxy S.

I've just got a HTC Wildfire. £15 per month on T-Mobile. Free handset. 24 Month contract.

For this money, i get:

300 minutes
Unlimited Txts
Unlimited Data

For average Joe, i think this contract is £20 per month...but i've been a T-Mobile customer for 3 years already, so i got a discount.

Its a quality phone, nice and small compared to many other "smart phones"

Not to keen on the Samsung personally, even though the gf's sister said she prefers it to the iPhone.

HTC Desire and Samaung Galaxy S are the only ones really comparable to the iPhone.

Wildfire is much lower spec.

Right as I'm getting fed up of Orange main reason is I have poor signal where I live and can't have decent phone calls. I am going into Phones4U, and getting them to buy the Orange contract and switch to Vodaphone. I popped in yesterday but they can't do deals on the iPhone due to Apple not wanting them to :(. So I will be going for something else, what is on the same line as an iPhone. was looking at the HTC Wildfire, as it's got a large enough screen so it's easy to read. Just don't kow what to look out for really?

Summary: What new phone can I get apart from the iPhone?

Cheers.
