If your not rebooting it every so often it will slow down.

If you want to downgrade then there are a number of guides on the net on how to do it - http://lifehacker.com/5572003/how-to-downgrade-your-iphone-3g%5Bs%5D-from-ios-4-to-ios-313
(read it a few times before you do it though!)

it would free up resources.
I have an iphone4 and have also disabled all the search functions, purely because I dont use it and want an even faster phone :)

would that stop jerky-ness on apps opening and the delay sometimes in the swipe feature?

Settings -> General -> Spotlight Search -> Untick everything?

reboot the phone, should make a subtle difference.

Anyone done it? been watching a view videos, just hate how slow my 3g has gone since updating :(
