It's fibre to the cabinet, then VDSL to the home. It's still subject to deterioration dependant on the distance between the customer's home and the cabinet.

VDSL (basically FTTC but not quite FTTH/O/B)

I live right next to some BT offices and this is my line result:

BT Total Broadband 6.0Mb Now

According to the BT Infinity website you can get up to 40Mb download speeds. :!

It's not available at my place though, so the only other option for us is Virgin. :(

20mb is available to loads of people with normal ADSL, I'd hope the next gen service can provide at least that speed.

We've just purchased the package, will be getting it in around 2 weeks :D

Is it good or bad? I only really want it so I can download movies and albums faster.

ATM our download speed is 1.5 MB and it takes all day to download a film :lol: Apparently we can get about 20MB download speed with this :cool:

Is it really that good?
