With a desktop this may well be the case. But not for a laptop..

I'm looking to buy a laptop, mainly for gaming, videos, internet etc..

I've never had a decent laptop before so i'm not really sure what is good? I'll be happy to spend between £600-£700, would i get anything decent for that?

I've had a look around at the usual names, but I couldnt tell a £200 laptop from a £2000 laptop!

Ive been told that building your own is the cheapest way, but i dont really have the knowledge of the hardware/software.

Any help appreciated.

Edit: I've been looking at the Gateway P-7807u FX, any good?
