quote: Did it tell you the drivers it needed once it scanned? If so note them down, or show us, and have a nose around google for them. I just formatted and reinstalled my missus' laptop and it was a pain in the arse trying to get the drivers, kept coming up with website that wanted me to buy stuff. If you want to download something (via torrents), download Everest, it's a driver scanner, then you'll have got it free anyway [Edited on 12-06-2010 by Cavey]

Found the sound, it's attached to the Motherboard. Foxconn (pictured). It's where you plug a lead from there to monitor. (of that helps).

You don't have the driver installed. Find out the type of sound card in the computer and download and install the driver. Then you will have sound.

Right guys, once again I need your help. On my girlfriend's pc at the moment she had sound when she was using Vista Business. Since that expired and kept asking for Gen Keys, I reinstalled Windows XP Pro. But now she is not getting sound. :boggle: I have looked online but can't seem to find anything, searched control panel, looked in System, Device Manager and under Other devices>Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus there is a yellow question mark next to it, now it says get drivers from Software CD, but we don't seem to have one. Looked in Bios and can't see anything unless I was looking in the wrong section? |
