I got that message when I tried to watch the F1 on the train a while back. That's the only time I've tried it tethered actually...

You sure it's not a browser string or something?

I used to watch it on my laptop tethered to my phone, december was the last time I tried though.

Since as long as I can remember. If you try and watch a video it will tell you to get into WiFi. There's probably a way around it, like by using a proxy somehow though...

When did they start doing that?

I've been on it from o2 before but not recently.

why not? ive done it before and im on vodafone

BBC block people from iPlayer if they don't have an IP address from Vodafone, 3 or from a non-cellular gateway.

I obviously didn't mean the physical method of doing it, I just meant in general like trying to watch a several hundred MB file though a mobile phone connection.
