Friend of mine has a iphone 3g with a cracked screen, not the screen itself just the outer part. Might buy it off him and fix it up with that kit :cool:

Just checked on the Apple website, its not under warranty anymore. Im shopping in Manchester tomorrow so might nip in apple store anyway see what they say. :thumbs:

I did the same in MK for £45. TBF it's flawless and like new :)

My dad had his screen replaced by a dodgy looking guy on the market in Luton for £50. He actually did a brilliant job of it.

No idea what a digitizer is though, might be more expensive to repair.

On the 3G it is a pretty easy job to replace the screen. I've done it on mine too...

It's a really easy fix, my mates done it twice. Got the kits off ebay.

I have an iPhone 16gb 3gs that needs a new screen and potentially a digitizer. Any ideas wether it's worth fixing or sellin for parts?
