Hinges can cost sod all depending on what laptop it is.

If you broke the base plastics the hinge connects on, then you'll need to get a new one (obviously).

Not the world's most hardest job to do, but it takes a long time to completely dismantle a laptop and put it back together again so you'd probably be paying more for labour than for parts (just like with cars LOL).

Contact a local computer repair person, they might be able to get the parts to fix it for you.

Depending on which part has snapped it may need just a new surround where the hinge connects to the screen side, or a new casing where it holds all the components. Ebay will probably sell both.

Otherwise just hash it with some tape!

my laptop screen has broken, not the actual screen but the sort of hinge that connects it.

its snapped and now cant support itself, is there anyway of getting it fixed? an how much does it cost?
