CDs generally arent that brilliant though are they?

Bottle neck between the amount data it can pass per second.

I have 4 statalite speakers and a sub for my comp, when playin wave audio (downloads) the sounds ok, or when playin games even but when i put an audio cd in its not so loud.
I ave checked all audio properties and stuff.
is there anything else wrong?.
