Enable the second screen and extend the desktop onto that screen, then play about until it's fixed, sometimes the only way. | |

Usually on one of the F* Buttons there is a image of a tv and LCD. Which you have to press with the Fn button, have you tried this to sort out which unit you view it from? | |

Nope no button like that on mine. The problem is once I plug the HDMI cable in it seems to think that the TV is the laptop screen so its displaying the picture on it at the wrong settings. So thats why the picture doesn't fit on the screen properly. And it wont let me change which screen is which. | |

On the remote control of the tv, there is usually a 'size/ratio' button. tried playing with that mwg? | |

I cant get my laptop to recognise my tv as the external display. I'm using a HDMI cable like I always have done and all of a sudden it thinks my tv is the normal display and that the laptop screen is the external display. Cant seem to change it and the picture shown on the tv is off the edge of the screen, its too big as it thinks its the laptop screen. |
