I always found the genius' were the only people in the shop who had a clue what they were talking about. Rather cocky ish some of them though.

They'd probably self-destruct if you asked those sort of questions.

Cant stand any phone / PC shops in general. I find as soon as I look at something I get jumped on by at least 3 of the staff one after another, its so annoying, I dont want them to tell me how RAM can help me speed my computer, I know this shit already, especially when its some 60 year old woman who's quite obviously been given a script. Ask them slightly more difficult questions like whats the CAS timings on that RAM? :look:

I think I'd rather buy online or from the god awful o2 shop on the other side of the Bullring. No one goes in there

quote: Yeah it isn't the biggest of stores, although i've never had problems with people asking if i wanted anything - must be my good looks :o Only thing that fucks me off is that there is only a small percentage of staff that actually know what they are talking about, majority of them haven't got a clue. When purchasing an older model MBP (which they spent 40mins trying to find even though it was reserved) on the release day of a new model (older model was better spec'd and cheaper), the bellend that was serving went on and on about how the new model was better and quicker when it clearly wasn't. And when i said that it needed to be a 7200rpm drive (the newer model came with a 5400rpm drive) as it was going to be used for location recording (so 20/30+ audio tracks simultaneously - maxing it out), he came out with how he never had problems with 5400rpm drives as he was a "producer" and that we were basically talking bollocks. The little shit didn't shut up and give us the MBP until i made some sarky comment about garageband being slightly different to ProTools and that we weren't using this to make "beatz!!!111". Felt liking kicking the shit out of the scrote there and then :| [Edited on 23-04-2010 by Dom]

The Milton Keynes store is pretty good. The staff have always come up to me and asked if I want help - very friendly on the whole. Only been in there 3 or 4 times though.

Trick with any shops like this is to look interested in the most expensive thing in the shop then when they ask if they can help take them to what you want.

That shop isn't ever good. It's always too busy and it's too narrow. Like a scrum in there...

I was extremely close to buying a macbook pro at christmas, I didn't due to the staff not having a clue what they were talking about, this was the shop in Leeds.

I went into the Apple store at the Bullring in Birmingham the other afternoon, I haven't been inside an Apple store since like 1994! |
