On the a1x, the switch is underneath... its so you can connect it to different inputs on the receiver.
component boggles me too though.

To be honest the main reason was for a charger. I keep changing it by plugging it into my laptop and it's annoying me heh.

Very almost nearly got one of these for my receiver, but ended up running a coax cable from my PC in the other room so I can play itunes straight to the amp. Still, tempted to pick one of these up - they look awesome :cool:

Just bought the DS-A3:



Really decent dock for those of you with Onkyo receivers, I had the DS-A1X around 2 years back but this is a lot nicer. Usually £95 but there's a guy on eBay doing 'em for £85 with free delivery.
