If you aren't on a cable network then you are stuck with ADSL. Put your phone number into the exchange checked on Samknows ( http://www.samknows.com/broadband/checker2.php ) and if there is a tick next to the TalkTalk CPW LLU service then the best broadband deal you will find will almost def be with adsl24 - up to 24mbps down, 1mbps up, completely unlimited usage with no traffic shaping (I downloaded just over 300GB last month with no problem and never see less than 700KB/s on our line which only supports 5.5bmps)

Here is the link if you are interested

I didn't think virgin had released thier proper fibre optics broadband yet. They have already been slammed for calling thier current service "Fibre optic broadband" when its only fibre optic infrastructure not to your door.

I've got the 50Mb broadband but its def not fibre optic, its just standard coax from the box down the road.

It's being rolled out around Birmingham, a few friends have it. It's quite epic!

Go on their site to see if you've got it in your area. The only other option is to go on a broadband comparison site and see what's in your area:

Virgin are the only option if you don't want a phone line (you'll have to pay for it to be fitted too).
