It sounds like you've got the speakers connected wrong, so that when stereo is output, the sound comes out of the side and not the front speakers.
Set Windows back to 5.1 surround, and run the speaker test, see if the speakers match what they should be.

even, when i change it on the system to 2channel stero, only 1 side works? im confussed with it all

I dont think youtube can stream surround sound and only mono

i have a sony 5.1 surround sound, when i use windows media player speakers work fine, but when i play music from youtube only the right side works?

Any ideas?
